Your pain is mildly affected by stress.
You scored between zero and 4 on the list of symptoms that are caused by stress. However, you also want to look and see if you have symptoms of stress in more than one body system. Review the list below which includes more symptoms than in the quiz! If you said “yes” on 2-4 symptoms AND you have symptoms of more than 1 body system (for example, pain is a symptom of the muscular system while an episode of dizziness is cardiovascular), then you should consider that your pain and other symptom(s) are affected by chronic low-level stress.
Let me ask you a couple of questions…
How do you want to feel?
Do you know, deep down, that you can have less pain?
Have you tried everything, only to be discouraged by the medical system?
Do you desire more activity and less fear of making your pain worse?
A practice of paying attention, like meditation, will help you notice the relationship between stress, pain and your overall health.
