Nourish to Flourish is an Online Wellness Community…

and membership provides access to a variety of movement and meditation practices offered by Dr. Stephanie Carter Kelley, a Physical Therapist that integrates Yoga into everything she does!

The goal of this community is to Nourish Body, Mind, and Spirit so that Your Health will Flourish.

The Nourish to Flourish Community offers lessons, meditations, and movement practices that address Health from the Bio-Psycho-Social and Spiritual perspective.

When you join the community you will improve your health by:

1.  Understanding your Biology…

…i.e. your Body.  I love teaching functional anatomy and I think it really helps you to understand how your body works.  So "Yoga Through the Body" includes lessons about each body part, how it works, and then how achieve and maintain health!

Classes target each region of the body and includes therapeutic exercise for conditions related to those body regions, for example:

  • Big Toe Power! is designed to heal aching feet especially conditions like bunions and plantar fasciitis

  • Faith in the Foot continues by strengthening small muscles of the foot and arch and helps conditions of the lower leg like chronic ankle sprains, posterior tibialis and Achilles tendonitis. These exercises are also great for conditions up the leg like anterior and medial knee pain around the patella and even further up into the hip like piriformis syndrome!

  • Knee Pain?…Get the Train on the Track! Focuses on alignment of the knees by targeting thigh and hip strength.

  • Stiff Knees…Get Moving! Focuses on gently increasing knee motion.

  • In Quad we Trust! Those large thigh muscles…hold you up and they need to be strong!

  • Are Your Hamstrings Holding you Back? So many people feel resistance in the hamstring muscles. This resistance can hold you back from having healthy knees, hips and even affect your low back.

  • And the list goes on…as the classes move up the body to the pelvis, low back, neck and shoulders.

2.  Understanding your Psychology…

…i.e. your Mind.  Though I don't have a degree in psychology, I can offer ways for you to explore the thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and memories that affect your health.  My approach is Breathing, Meditation and Mindfulness.  Once you understand how your inner voice is directing every decision and action in your life, you can change exactly what you need to in order to Flourish.

Each class in Yoga through the body has a a Mindful focus, i.e. I explore this simple question…How is your Mind affecting what you feel in your body?

3.  Connecting…

…with me and other members of the community, i.e. address the Social aspect of health.  I will offer LIVE STREAM classes via Zoom.  You can download the Zoom app for your computer, phone or other digital device.  You can also join via a strong internet connection on any web browser.

You will also find yoga and meditation recordings in this community.  My hope is to record and give you as much as possible!

4.  Celebrating your Spirit! 

In each practice, I communicate the power of connecting to your spirit for the Health that you desire.  I attribute my ability to Flourish, even through life challenges,  in deepening my personal Spirituality.  I have a broad definition of Spirituality, not limited by religion, and I will share my journey as much as I can to give you hope and PEACE.

But if you cannot make the LIVE classes, you have access to the complete online library of recorded video classes. The library is divided into sections so that you can find the right practice for you:

  1. Meditations (8 with a focus on breath and body)

    Breathing and/or guided meditation to give you a lesson about how to manage chronic pain.

  2. Mindful Movement - Gentle Yoga (6 supported practices)

    These are great for early morning or late evening when we just need to move a little! Each practice will be gentle and last 20-40 minutes.

  3. Yoga Through the Body (complete series from the Big Toe up to the Head)

    This is a full curriculum addressing each area of the body. I offer education about how the body works while fostering safe and therapeutic movement. The Body blended with Mindful Practice follows the development of energy through the Chakras starting with the feet and moving up through the body.

    These classes are offered LIVE every Tuesday at 9am EST AND you can access the library of recorded classes so that you can repeat the classes that you need for every part of the body.

  4. Spine Health

    Caring for people that have back pain and neck pain has been my specialty for my entire career. So I have lots to share! If you ever attended one of my Spine Health classes over the last few years, some of these may look familiar. I’m offering both Level 1 for beginners and Level 2 for my regular clients. My plan is to add Level 3 as we all get stronger.

  5. Build Better Bones

    You can do it with the RIGHT movement and activity. But you need to have a SAFE practice to decrease the risk of injury. This section includes a lesson so that you can understand the diagnoses of Osteoporosis and Osteopenia along with yoga.

  6. Therapeutic Tabata Yoga for STRENGTH

    The intensity is increased but each class is still very safe and therapeutic! If you know the basic yoga poses you can participate in these Level 2 classes!

    Were you discharged from physical therapy, but you didn’t feel like you were done? These classes are for you!

    There is a class to support each region of the body. Once you have graduated from Yoga Through the Body (level 1), you can continue to build strength with safe therapeutic movements.
