From the Online Course: Yoga for a Better Back
Each Module in the Program includes:
1) Mindfulness Lesson to address external and internal stressors that keep people in pain.
2) Guided Meditation to support calming of the nervous system and explore thoughts and beliefs that may be keeping a person in pain.
3) Physical Lessons include education about the importance of posture, core support and mobility. Participants are guided to perform each pose/therapeutic exercise in the program with written instructions, pictures and videos.
4) Short Yoga Program (20 Minutes)
5) Long Yoga Program (40-60 Minutes)
***Yoga and Exercise is progressed through each module just like during an episode of Physical Therapy. Modules are released every 2 weeks to encourage repetition and practice before progressing to the next phase of the program.
6) Bonuses that include yoga practices with support (floor or chair) and modifications of poses/exercise for various diagnoses (e.g. osteoporosis).
